Snoring
This afternoon, I decided to hangout in my dad’s room. So while I was playing with my pet on Pet Society, my dad went into his room to sleep. It didn’t bother me until he started snoring. My dad is has the worst snore ever! I bet our neighbors can hear it from their own rooms. So to find out more about this very disturbing condition, I googled it and here’s what I discovered.
1. Snoring, like all other sounds, is caused by vibrations that cause particles in the air to form sound waves.
2. Any person can snore. Studies estimate that 45% of men and 30% of women snore on a regular basis. Frequently, people who do not regularly snore will report snoring after a viral illness, after drinking alcohol, or when taking some medications.
3. When we are asleep, the area at the back of the throat sometimes narrows. The same amount of air passing through this smaller opening can cause the tissues surrounding the opening to vibrate, which in turn can cause the sounds of snoring.
4. Snoring is affected by the stage of sleep, sleeping position, and the use of medications and alcohol.
5. Snoring also may be a sign of an underlying medical problem.
6. Treatments can range from behavioral modification to surgeries!

For two weeks now I’ve been reading and writing, reviewing and submitting written requirements of the language and yeah, it isn’t easy! Up to now, I can’t still figure out when to use petit instead of petite or vieille instead of vieux. (FORGIVE ME FOR MY SPELLING XD) And just a few hours ago, I did my lesson 3 which was all about adjectives. Could it be any harder?
I am so enthusiastic and determined to learn and finish the course so I will try my very very best to do it as much as I can. But yeah, I’m pretty tired of it too..All the bizarre spellings and pronunciations.Heeeeeelp! I’m having mixed feelings on this.
Jeep
Yesterday was one of the normal cloudy-sunny days here in the Philippines. As summer was about to end, I’ve decided to meet up with two of my closest friends at a local mall. On my way there, I didn’t take a taxi coz it’s so darn expensive and impractical. So I rode the usual jeep en route to the mall where I was heading….The boring trip went on and I turned on my walkman phone and listened to Rascal Flatts. Minutes after, the jeep stopped. An old man with no one else but himself hopped in. He was about 80 or somewhere close to that and had difficulties with moving about. I was so impressed when a guy helped him up the jeep.
Never have I thought that the Filipinos are still in touch with the various values that we have. I was really moved with what the guy did for the old man that he barely knew.
In the midst of scandals and troubles that the country is facing nowadays, it’s nice to see something apart from the usual scenes of life.
In the Midst of Sex Videos and Scandals
The KATRINA HALILI-HAYDEN KHO scandal has been going on since a few weeks ago. It started when Katrina, a reality TV star turned actress, went to the Senate to ask for help from the people in power to save her from the greatest distress of her life. Imagine your private deed being shown all over the world!Man, even if you go to Madagascar or wherever possible, no place can ever hide you from this.
And so, an action star turned Senator immediately decided to head in taking care of the said scandal. Words were publicly expressed from both parties. A lot of people became involved since the scandal progressed. Protests from feminist parties were done. A bigger scandal eventually broke out.
In the midst of the HALILI-KHO scandal, I felt sorry for Katrina but most of all for Dr. Kho. Whoever uploaded the videos on the internet, made lots of copies of it , and sold them clearly had one reason. That reason is to destroy whatever name or dignity or position in life Dr. Kho has. Sad to say, it has to involve Katrina and the other women. And seriously, I think he has to go to a shrink.
As a woman, personally, I cannot take the inevitable fact nowadays that sexual promiscuity has gone to the limits. Women nowadays become sexually active not thinking about the possible consequences it might bring. In the case of Katrina, the intercourse took place when Dr. Kho and a famous plastic surgeon, Dr. Belo were still together. I don’t know what was Katrina thinking and I don’t have the right to judge her but she could’ve known better.
As a Filipino, I feel ashamed that the country is facing another issue. An issue that could’ve been avoided if only people were more responsible. This issue will clearly be seen as cheap as it seems from other countries. I can take corruption, I can take lack of education, I can take issues involving politicians. But this, people have exaggerated it. There are numerous problems to be taken care of!Hello. And besides, video scandals have been on and off since the dawn of technology, so why make a fuss now? Is it because famous people were involved? And could be the people with power became engrossed with the issue because the election is fast approaching? Tsk.
This is giving me a headache. Gotta go.
She
There are some people whom I know that are weak when it comes to relationships. Seriously, I need your help.
I got this friend who got in a bad relationship last year. It came in so fast that’s why no wonder, it ended right away. The guy eventually broke up with her THROUGH THE PHONE when he realized HE DOESN’T LOVE HER AFTER ALL. Big sh*t right?! It’s been eight months since the breakup happened and my friend just can’t seem to get over him. And as a friend, I am truly concerned about her. I mean hello, why would she continue to love him when in fact she knows that the guy has no feelings whatsoever for her?
This has been dragging on for months now and I and my other friends are getting tired of it. Seriously. Help! What are we supposed to do?
Alone as Usual
A typical Sunday for most people would be jogging, church, brunch, at home with the whole family. For me, it’s different however. A day like this is just as boring as my weekdays. Haa. Alone at home. Or I could be out and about; and alone.
So yeah, I went out this afternoon to pay the monthly bills. It was fast actually so I headed for the nearest mall to kill the time. I entered a bookstore and was happy to see a lot of novels on sale! I was actually hoping I could find another Danielle Steel like before but nawp, I didn’t. Most of the books on sale were from authors whom I barely know so yeah, I didn’t even get to buy one for myself. Haa.
After the bookstore I went to the third floor of the mall to check out some school supplies. I bought new pens, a sharpener, and I planner which I believe I badly need. Weee.
So after the shopping of supplies I had my usual afternoon headache (I think it’s because of my glasses. Maybe I need new lenses.). Bored and thirsty as I was I went to “Thirsty” to buy my new favorite Banana Split Shake!:D everything was okay not until the cashier of that smoothie shop asked for my payment, AGAIN! Why again? Coz I already gave her my payment and then she asked for it. I insisted that I already did give the amount but she also insisted that I didn’t! Grr. So, to avoid any scandal, I gave her another payment and walked away with a mad look on my face.
I wasn’t mad for the amount. I was mad because the cashier was dishonest. I mean, the smoothie costs Php 39. Like that would make her rich if she asked another Php 39 from me! Is that how desperate people are nowadays?
When I arrived at home, I immediately grabbed my Toblerone chocolate, took a bite and tried to relax. I need my happy stuff now. Endorphins! C’mon!

Have you loved somebody so much that you came to a point of thinking that it’s gonna be forever and that it’s real?
Well, here’s the catch. Life’s like that. Love’s like that.
Sometimes, there are certain moments in our lives and in our relationships when we think that “this is going to be forever”. We tend to become too overwhelmed by the now-moment when we’re still happy with the people we love. It feels like screwing up would never take place nor cheating will. But inevitably, there will come a time when things start to go wrong. The two of you fight more often. You get to be so paranoid about who s/he’s with or you just feel so bored about everything. So bored that you don’t think “it” deserves to be continued.
In times like these, we often take our time to sit down and think. Alone or with our partners. We talk about stuff. We think about what’s going on. We express our feelings of being bothered. We communicate. And yeah, that’s the best thing to do I guess.
You’d try to save “it” of course. Nobody would want to throw away a relationship as far as I know. I mean who wants to breakup when you, in fact, love the person you’re with?
However, sometimes, nomatter how we talk things out…Nomatter how we try to save the relationship. Or nomatter how we try to put the pieces of the puzzle back together– we fail. Yes. Breaking up becomes the one and only choice.
Breakups are really bad. Really really hurtful. Depressing. Downhearting. Sad. And all the other adjectives you can connect to it. It’s as bad as the word bad. But for me, sometimes breakups are to be done because it’s the bes thing to do to preserve whatever you have for each other. Be it love, friendship, respect, or care.
Let us remember that in the cycle of life, there are days of beginnings and days of endings. And what’s in between [in cases of relationships]? Well, it’s gotta be the days when you should should do everything you can to show the person you love that you love him/her. In between is the best part of it all. It’s where you see yourselves happy. It’s the part where you have to take things together, face challenges in your relationship. It’s just yeah, the happiest part of your journey.
So while you’re at the peak of your relationship [if you are], never waste a moment. Be there for the person. Show her/him that s/he’s special because one day…Yes, there’d be a day that everything will change. And that change will leave you nothing but memories. So while change doesn’t happen yet, make the best memories… The memories that are worth reminiscing. 
Earth Hour.2
Good day everyone!As we all know, today is the second worldwide observation of Earth Hour. Tonight at 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm kindly turn off your lights. This will indicate that you are supporting the global challenge to each and every nation to save our planet.
I do really hope that this event would be even more successful compared to last year. Let us all support Earth Hour. Let’s just not observe, but most importantly, let’s take part. An hour isn’t too much after all. God bless everyone! God bless mother earth!
People are People
I am downright sad. I just hate this human tendency to come and go. I mean I know it’s part of life right…You meet people. They become your friends…And after awhile of having those worst and best times together, here they are, saying goodbye.
Geez. I just super hate the word goodbye. I’m so weak at it.
You see, I’ve got this classmate. We’ve been classmates since second year college and yeah we’ve been friends since then. And now, he plans to leave the country for good just because of some issues. I get him. I totally do. But we barely got a year to be together as a class. Oh yeah I remember, that’s not even sure yet coz the administration is planning to reshuffle the incoming seniors. Crazy crazy idea! I don’t wanna get in the classroom seeing and being with people I barely know. I mean it’s the last year in college. It’s supposed to be happy, spent with the people we wanna spend it with. Amidst this plan, we are still hopeful that it won’t be realized. Coz yeah. We definitely love our section. We do have reasons not to but yeah, we still do.
Sorry for ranting again. I’m just so mad and sad and whatever it is that I feel. Later.
